Hogun sighed softly and nodded. “I will be fine, beloved.” He assured both her and himself. He kissed the top of her head gently. “We have much to do before we set off…”
She tightened her hold on him, keeping him in her embrace for a little while longer, then, straightening, she smiled bravely.
‘Aye. You’re right. I just wish I knew how to fight magic…’ She shook her head and began to prepare herself. ‘I’m going to fetch my blade and armor… perhaps we should take some food… I have no idea how long it will take us…’ she bit her lips again then shrugged, ‘I just hope we will back before this christmas mortals are speaking… I want to try their food…’
“We can bring some bread” Hogun said with a nod. “Some poptarts… I have a feeling they travel well.”
He walked over and brushed his hand over his enchanted armor. “I’ll fetch my mace, and we can leave when you are ready.”
